I’ve been on both sides of the developer/publisher relationship many, many times and know firsthand the difference working with the right partner on your game can make. I want to pass on some of this knowledge and help you find a partner that shares your values!

This site is intended to identify and avoid mismatches (before the contract phase) through an easy and fun gamified exercise. We help align your game’s unique needs to the services provided by the publisher/financier.

I’ve been meticulously compiling information for years, and the information is only as useful as the people it helps!

A rising tide lifts all ships, and whatnot. When one of us succeeds, we all succeed!

Lots of ways. There were several great databases I used as a starting place (shout out to Alan Dang and Seyed) – I’ve helped lead multi-publisher organizations such as The Indie Houses, am active in many industry Discords, meetups, LinkedIn, Slack spaces and other developer communities, and am a compulsive documentarian. I save everything I ever do for work in case it may be useful again someday, and most of the time it is!

I’ve also been lucky to share resources and information with other industry veterans and compile what I believe to be the most comprehensive and up to date database out there.

If the publisher shows a “verified” image on their listing, that means the information was submitted and vetted directly by the publisher. Anything else in the database was sourced through publicly searchable information or direct insider insight. If it can’t be verified, it’s left blank.

Publisher Pathfinder uses a weighted formula to ensure you are matched to whichever partners check the most of your boxes. Certain aspects are weighted higher based on importance. It looks a bit like this under the hood:

• +3 if class matches
• +3 per genre match
• +5 per service match
• +5 per platform match
• +5 if max publisher funding is >= max funding needs
• +3 if type matches
• +3 if number of players matches
• +1 per pillar match

Please submit the Google form found on our contact page! You will need to be logged in to an email account associated to the publisher in order for information to be considered valid and updated to the site.

The knowledge and satisfaction that someone may get their game made that have have not otherwise had the opportunity!
